Last season was just mezmerizing but is Isaiah setting himself up-
The hip problem is worrisome and Isaiah pushes the envelope
Part of his genius is his playing with abandonment and the theater of the game
Can he duplicate last season, will he stay injury free
Will this summer off effect his game
Can he temper his drive and distribute
Appreciate the genius of Isaiah it can be fleeting

The hip injury is a bit worrisome, but if he recovers well and in a timely manner, this season will be even better for him. Playing with Hayward is going to open up a lot more opportunities for IT, and will take a lot of the pressure and defensive attention off him, allowing him to excel. No player will benefit more from Hayward than IT.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
I like his confidence but I hope all this success does not go to his head. I don't think Danny will give him more than 3 years. But i want a player who believes in himself and wants to earn the money. I hope AH,Heyward and IT flow like clock work. 2018 will be fun to watch.

TP-very good point about Hayward  that may also be true with morris
jerebko although a good three point shooter had a slow release,
So i think you could play off him a bit more and his drives off closeouts were atrocious

look, if he produces the same year as last (and better), that MAX is gonna be ready for him before FA even reaches lol. He will prove his worth for sure tho, coz we arent the only ones who would offer him a MAX if he clearly deserves it, so he knows he has to earn it too, hes been doing it on a night in night out :) proving everyone!

I think this works against Isaiah Thomas TBO. Great GM's pay big money when they have to. Horford is over paid, but Danny had to over pay him to set up the next big fish. Haywayd got his payday but Danny had to pay Hayward cause he was the catch. Isaiah played his best season last year. With Hayward things open up for Horford as well. Isaiah is not gonna get the ball to the rym as much as last year and if anything, Isaiah is gonna seem like he lost a step due to his injury. Setting up a good but not so great season as far as personal accomplishments go, driving down his price. With that in mind, the leverage falls Danny Ainges way so either IT takes the discount or Danny lets him walk and either drafts or signs his replacement.

Isaiah deserves what he wants but theres no way Ainge gives him a max deal after next season. I can see Danny looking at other options at PG in FA or looking to Rozier to lead the attack. You cant have a contender with more then 2 max deals and keep your bench intact. Its nearly impossible
