Ainge will have to make some more trades guys that are going to get paid for cheaper contracts. That's by crowder is still a Celtic.

Is Ainge done now?  I still get the feeling Crowder could be on the move.  Too many SF sized players -- Morris, Crowder, Hayward, Tatum even Smart.

I agree about Crowder. He has a GREAT contract but we can only have so many players at the same position and with the great contract he should be easy to move but I hope Danny has something big up his sleeve and when I say BIG I mean a BIG target. I feel like Crowder still feels offended by the game when fans were cheering for Hayward and he will have a tough time coexisting with him especially if he has to move to the bench behind him.

There are options to try and get more rebounding without giving up Crowder. It sounds like Crowder is staying.

Room exception - sign Dedmon or Black.

Trade Mickey, Jackson, Nader, 2019 Pistons 2nd round pick for a backup PF. Two guys that match up salary wise are Kyle OQuinn and Noah Vonleh.

OQuinn has two years left. Getting him and someone with the room exception would give you two contracts making around $4.3 million that would be tradeable next summer too.

IT. Smart.  Rozier
Hayward. Brown. (Veteran minimum guard)
Crowder. Tatum
Morris. OQuinn. Yabusele
Horford. Black. Theis. Zizic.

That's a huge lineup, but you could always go small when needed:

IT  Rozier
Hayward. Smart
Crowder. Brown
Morris  Tatum
Horford. OQuinn.

I don't think he's getting rid of Crowder. The contract is to good and he brings good veteran experience to the team. He also makes us a deep team with amazing versatility that I'm pumped about!  :)

I don't think we own a Detroit 2019 2nd round pick. We just traded Detroit OUR 2nd round pick in 2019 (not that it's a biggy) but just to set the record straight.

I would be happy for a decent big man.

I wonder if you guys heard this stuff:

Hearing that the Celtics have no intention of trading Jae Crowder. They're excited about lineup possibilities.

Cs will be looking to use mid-level exception and are always looking for trades, but there are no more pressing deals right now, source says

We have one from a previous trade:

Maybe we just gave it back to them in the Morris trade?

The Himmelsbach quote doesn't mean a whole lot to me. If I were Ainge and I planned on trading Crowder, that's what I'd say. It keeps you from losing leverage in a future deal.

It still remains to be seen whether or not we're actually done.
I'm bitter.
