Assuming the Knicks find a third team to dump Randle on, would the 2.7 million difference in Crowder and O'Quinn's salary drop enough salary from Boston to give Hayward the max?  I wasn't sure what the exact number needed was, I just know it is more than Rozier.

Depends if Yabusele is coming over.  If he isn't, $2.7 million difference is enough without moving Rozier or Jackson (would still need to release Mickey).

I think a trade like that would be the best way to go.  What about this idea from Kevin O'Connor?

Maybe Griz sign JaMychal Green for 12 or 13 mil per year. Trade AB/Crowder/pick to Memphis in a sign and trade. Save between 2.5 and 3.5 mil per year. Green shot 39% from 3 and he is 6'8" with a 7'2" wingspan 😊😊😊

I'd probably waive Mickey and Jackson anyway.  I don't see the point in having them, but I think that trade would work even if you wanted to keep Jackson.  Just find a 3rd team to take on Randle, send some cash that team's way, and a 2nd round draft pick or something to make it all work under the rules and I think that would be a mutually beneficial trade for all 3 teams.

So Boston thins out the wings and adds a big.

Too much to give up just for Green.  I'd rather just dump Crowder or Smart and keep AB and the pick than do something like that and just sign a big man with one of the exceptions.

Agreed, much cheaper options will develop.  Even a guy like Jerebko is a better player.

I think Jerebko could come back with the room exception. I also like Mbah a Moute with the room exception. Should be able to get one of them for 4.3 million. OKC just got Patrick Patterson for 5.5 million.
