Look, why play around...go for it. I want Paul George AND Anthony Davis. Sell out and go for the jugular. I would be willing to pass on Hayward if we could land PG13 and Davis.

If you want to win and put the fear in the Warriors, you get both of them and the entire league gets put on notice.

Why play around with more small, non-rebounding, non-scoring wings. We need size, defense and scoring.

Ainge push all your chips to the middle of the table...ALL IN. Give up all the picks and several players.

Trade for Davis first to entice PG13 to sign extension. Pacers have no leverage.
Celtics give up Nets 2018 #1, Crowder, Zeller and Rozier for PG13
Celtics give up AB, KO, #3, Celtics 2018, Lakers 2018, Clippers 2019 and anything else they want.

IT
Smart
PG13
Davis
Horford

Jaylen Brown is the 6th man and comes in for Smart. How are other teams going to score on this defense?

Ainge will not have any problems landing FAs from now on. They beat the Cavs with no problem.

We can't afford AD. The only realistic chance we had at him was #1.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Exactly, no way would NOP even consider dealing AD without getting the #1 in return.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Yup, this move basically kills any possible AD trade fantasy.

Maybe if we had offered the #1 pick, Brooklyn 2018, JB, plus more Pelicans might have thought about it.

But now?

I feel the return is too low for what we gave up.  We gave up the #1 overall pick and only get a protected 1st in return! Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. Danny?!  You needed to get at least two additional first rounders back!
