But If Ainge trades the #1 for what is being proposed as #3, 2018 Lakers Pick and 2021 First Rounder (EACH PROTECTED), I'll be booing loudly no matter who they choose. (Unless somehow Fultz drops to #3 which is 98% unlikely).
Oh. Were you one of those fans booing at brown last year?  ;D
found him

My interpretation of the Tweet is that it was just the 2021 1st that had protection. I can't imagine Danny does any deal where both are protected. He'd want more rolls of the dice.

That was my initial interpretation as well.  However, on a second read, the tweet is rather ambiguous.  Of course, the complicated protections could be to our advantage, i.e. If the Lakers pick isn't top 5 (or whatever) then we get the 2019 Kings pick.  However, a top one or three protection on the Lakers pick is not complicated, so that's not happening.

**** if you think Danny isn't just messing with everyone.

We are drafting Fultz, I havent seen anything that contradicts that.

I sincerely think this what happens when Danny is dealt a great hand at a poker table. He tries to lure the guys around the table into over committing. I think he's looking for another Nets like heist to develop.

If he doesn't get a GM who will to play, he'll go with Fultz.

I have to think this, or I'll be crazy by draft night.
