First off, I'm totally against trading #1. I think Fultz is a future superstar, and I'd hate to trade him to a division rival.

However, I think people are ignoring what the Celtics could be getting back here. This is the best-case scenario (and one that might be on the table).

#3
2018 Philly 1st (swap)
2018 Lakers 1st (unprotected)
2019 Kings 1st (unprotected)
2019 Philly 1st (unprotected)

Would you be happy with that haul, especially if #3 was flipped for a Paul George or Jimmy Butler? Once again, I would not, but that's just me.

Don't know how to attach a poll.

I think the deal is much more like what you're saying than #3 and another pick. It has to be heavier.

Ive heard its just #3 and another future first...not the kind of haul you were expecting.

If LA comes into play because the fakers also want to move up then Danny can jack up the price a bit..personally id ask for Saric but i think he is untouchable at this point.

Ive heard it #3, LA, and then a future Sixers #1. LA could easily be a top 5 pick. Thats decent value.

Philly cannot keep all these picks because they can't sign them all after rookie deals.

Ainge is stockpiling major picks for a star...who is it? It's either Butler, Davis or PG13.

Do you mean that the LA pick could potentially be... #1 overall  :o? In a deep draft!? Sign me up! If Danny had a surefire future star we'd be set for years! Oh, wait.

Keep in mind what he said after the season. We have good players but we need great players. He's going for a KG deal for a star.

We still have the Nets pick next year. Just think he could have
2018 Nets #1
2018 Lakers #1
2019 Kings #1

All these are high, high lottery picks which will not be used on rookies.

a) I think Ainge has Fultz rated #1, but not nearly as much separation between #1 and #2-5 as everyone else seems to think
b) DA has Tatum, JJax, and DFox rated higher than others, and knows he'll get one of them.
c) Most importantly, though risky, he is trying to stack the deck to add a transcendent big man (or two) in the 2018 draft.
d) Because of Lebron and GSW continued dominance, Ainge is ok with 2-pronged strategy of pushing the L-T window out another year, while trying to compete w/added FA talent.
e) They think Jaylen will break out within 2 years (so no Hayward), and that they can sign Blake Griffin

BOS trade: #1, #53, DJAX
Phi trade:  #3, #36, PHI 2018 unprotected 1st, LAL 2018 unprotected 1st, SAC 2019, Robert Covington, 2020 PHI 2nd rounder, 2020 NYK 2nd rounder

BOS trade: #3, Jae Crowder
SAC trade: #5, #10, 2018 right to swap 2018 1st round pick, Skal Labissiere

Fultz
Ball
DFox
JJax
BOS--Tatum
Isaac
Markannen
Monk
Ntilikina
BOS--DSmith Jr (or Giles)

IT    DsmithJr  Barbosa
AB   Smart     GGreen
Covington JBrown Jerebko
Griffin    Tatum  BBass
Horford  Zizic   Labissiere

Still, I'd like Fultz, but when has Danny ever gone with conventional wisdom.
