That's no excuse to losing this game like they are right now.

But they played a hell of a Game 7 (full 48 minute effort), and then for the next 4 days have played 2 games against a well-rested Cleveland team.

And this series has no "2-days off" so it's every other day, which could be a big problem for this team that looks tired out there and hopeless.

Oh well, on to the draft. No trades, just select Fultz and build.

You are right, how many people remember that GAME 7 was just on Monday.

I wondered last week why GAME 7 was not played on Sunday?????????????

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Maybe, probably wouldn't have made a difference in the outcome, though.

It doesn't really seem fair that just because we played a 7-game series we now have to play incredibly fatigued. An extra day off between the two series should be a given. We already had several occasions of two days off within series games.

It's all about tv money, I guess.

Yeah, makes no sense.

If Warriors/Cavs sweep, they get A LOT of time before the Finals too.  >:(

These are pros and they play back to back games during the season.   A day off should be the status quo for them.

I mean like, say between Friday night and Game 3, maybe have Sunday as a day off too, and have Game 3 Monday.

This C's team looks tired and honestly didn't even have much time to prepare for Cleveland between Game 7 vs. WAS and Game 1 vs. CLE.

But yeah, no excuse for last night's performance.

It's a definite factor.

The Celts, more than most, really need the energy to play well considering their style and the comparative lack of superstars. They clearly were not ready to go against the Cavs.

They're pros and all that but they're also still human. Let both teams struggle through a seven-game series and the dynamic changes considerably, in all likelihood.

It doesn't always work that way, of course.
