Pierce think that's the way you should go, Mike Conley say George has the leverage to dictate where he lands...

I think you also have something with Hayward and Fultz, but Fultz is 19 with a higher upside than George.

Higher upside than George a 3 time all NBA and all defensive player by the age of 27? Who has elite length for his position? Who has taken Lebron to game 7?

Both? May have a legit contender there.  On the panel, Lowe said it could work financially.

If George would resign, I think Ainge would do it.  May be tough to follow the same model as last time once those guys age, though. No team would want to be the next BKN Nets.

George is going to require a ransom I think.  Though Indy lost a lot of leverage when he missed All-NBA.

Having said that - do we really want to trade the #1 pick for a guy who can't sniff 3rd team All-NBA?

That's an expensive team. What's the finished product look like outside of Horford / George / Hayward / IT?

I think my inclination would still be Hayward + Fultz.

Ab or Smart (also maybe crowder for financial reason) + #1 for George

IT.            Rosier
AB or Smart.  Green (vet min)
Hayward.        Jaylen
George.           Yabu?
Horford.         zicic

Don't forget ring chasers like Joe Johnson and Andrew Bogut types

Plus keep brk,18

You have to make that trade IMO

PG13 and Hayward both just turned 27, so contract would run through their prime and be over before they decline.

So, let's say Zeller + Crowder + #1 for George on draft night.

Trade AB for future picks. Renounce all free agents, including KO. Sign Hayward.

Yeah, I think it works financially, at least for one season.

Yep and this year George took Lebron to game 4. Now he's lost somewhere between Indianapolis and Terre Haute looking for where he parked his car.

After 1st quarter of game 2 , our starters can't hit wide open shots.

Hayward and George put us on another level.

And complained about his teammate taking last shot in Game 1 and proceeded to miss every important shot he took late games 2, 3, 4.

What we'd have would be a talented bunch of mismatched parts that would still be seriously deficient and nowhere near good enough to win a title.

No thanks. This flawed roster needs to be largely rebuilt, not just added to.
