Stevens needs to look at film to see what the Bulls did to the Cavs this year, look at film from what the Celtics did in the past and what the Spurs did to the HEAT. It's no secret what the Cavs are doing but you can't show Bron the same look every time.

Sometimes you double and sometimes you don't. Don't show him where the double is coming from and also be prepared to take a lot of charges. I know that's a lot to ask but he's a runaway train and it will be a layup drill if you don't stop him before he can elevate at the rim.

try everything. see what works best.  regardless what defense gives us best chance make lebron score the points and from outside to beat us. I will take that all day to keep the rest out of ryhthm all game. no layups. only jays from lebron. yeah i know. let's see if lebron can score 60 or 70 3 straight games.  problem is if we do not win game 2 this series is over. this is not the bulls we are playing. so game 2 is basically like a game 4 with us being down 3-0. MUST WIN if we want to play one more game in Boston, that being a game 5.

To have a chance we need Tanya Harding on our team.

The most amazing thing in the world of sports is that Lebron never gets hurt. NEVER, not a sprained ankle, a strain, or a painful bruise. With all the minutes on his knees, and feet, and going from high school to the NBA...not a thing.

I think early in his career in his first stay in Cleveland he had an upset stomach in a 6th game. lol

There is a reason Lebron is in the conversation as the best ever.  You can't double him because then we'll lose by 40.  He's a better playmaker than he is a scorer.  He also prefers to pass tha score.

Our best chance is to see if he can score 50 and then try to keep the others down.  So basically, the complete opposite of the premise of this thread.

Well the complete opposite got our roofs blown off last night

It was a joke to see 5-6 different celts players undressed by Lebron

We should live with that.

The problem got compounded because we aren't making our shots, and we are allowing offensive rebounds/open looks because we have to double on LeBron. Let him undress the entire roster, as long as we shut down anyone else, don't allow offensive rebounds, and take care of business on our offensive end, we'll have a shot.

agreed, try anything defensively. they missed quite a few first shots only that we could not rebound. make lebron shoot a J and make it a one and done if he misses.

I don't get why CBS only played Jaylen 20minutes last night. He got no play in the 4th when guys started scoring again maybe the Cavs let up some. He proved to me that he should be getting a minimum of 30 minutes from now on, unless something unforeseen changes.

Jaylen was the only player that seemed to be unafraid. Our team was shooting horribly, but Jaylen scored most of his shots. He went 5-7 , missing only 2 shots, and on one of his misses he got the offensive rebound and kicked it back out. He should have been 7-9 from the field with 14 points, but KO and Marcus held back their man when Jaylen had a clear path to the rim for 2 dunks.

He also irritated Lebron enough for Lebron to push him off and then gloat about it....which even the TNT guys said was a foul and prob not called for 2 reasons: it's Lebron and Jaylen is a rookie.

I was wondering the same.

Brown played largely in the second half. Everyone started making shots in the second half because the Cavs pretty much pulled the brakes.

Jaylen was sweating buckets...he exerted alot of energy...  Game was finished...no point of CBS leaving him out there , which may result in potential injury

Maybe he should start Brown and Smart...but I think CBS is worried then the team has nobody else to continue applying pressure on Lebron etc.

But maybe its better to apply pressure from the start...prevent them from getting a good start

One way to slow down Lebron is defintely have him shoot bricks/swat/alter his shots from the start

what about the idea to full court press Lebron

at least you tire him out quicker

that has been brought up as well. most say if we do that and he gets a pass away it will be a dunk or layup from another cav. maybe so but we could at least try! try everything we reallyhave nothing to lose.
