Crazy.

This Fultz cat must be good.  Zinger not elite?  Just a nice player?

He is a 7'3 unichorn with a Curry-like stroke.   Even blocks shots.

In a heartbeat would I make this trade.
I know you're being sarcastic hut yes he's that good
Jaylen Brown for All-NBA

I would hope that Danny does not do that trade.  I would not want to trade it for McCollum or Jabari either -- I think the whoever Danny picks #1 has good likelihood of surpassing those guys as 2-way players.

I feel safer with Fultz than Porzingis. I think Fultz is more likely to reach his ceiling plus I am worried about how well Porzingis' body will hold up long term. Hard to stay healthy at 7 foot 3. A bit put off by Porzingis' dodgy BBIQ (bad passing, inability to make teammates better on offense, reluctance to play center on defense & rebounding). I do like Porzingis a lot despite that but I feel a bit more confident / secure about Fultz.

and this is why trades rarely go down on draft night. GM's fall in love with their pick kind of like this forum has done.
You absolutely make this trade if you are Ainge. Zinger has a chance to be great in a position that is severely lacking depth in todays NBA. As others said he fits Stevens system perfectly..

Fultz does have potential to be great, but he creates a log jam at the guard positon which we already have. Even if Bradley is gone after next season, what happens to Smart and Rozier? Have people already forgotten about those two?

might be the most legit trade to get a rising star big . Zinger is a CBS big .  Zinger and AL would be a load with Brown and Smart and IT .  Zizic Backup .

I can see Knicks making a deal .....if it suits DA. .....CBS would be turning cartwheels  ;D

No.

Porzingis looks to have potentially be very good, but I dont think he'll be elite.

This - I think Fultz has a much higher chance of being a superstar.

FWIW, this idea came up on the latest Dunc'd On and was quickly dismissed with both hosts concluding they'd much rather have Fultz.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Porzingis isn't a good rebounder, he's an average rebounder, which is an issue for a 7'3 player.

And while we're at it, almost every freakishly tall guy like him who's ever been in the league has had health issues.

No way I'd make this trade. Fultz is too good a prospect to just throw away.

If we could get the #8 pick and Porzingis for the #1 it would be tempting. NYK only does that if we take Carmelo back as well. I am all for that scenario, IT/Melo/Hortford core with Porzingis, smart, brown, Zizic, #8 and 2018 Nets first for the future. Sign me up.

Obviously I would rather have Hayward, Butler or PG than Melo but I am thinking more and more that is not going to to happen. Its hard to fathom paying Hayward 4yrs/130 million and Utah can offer more plus possibility of designated player. Porzingis is going to be 1st team NBA in 3-4 years.

Regardless the future is bright.

Well put, but I don't think it'd be particularly hard to move Smart or Rozier if the Celtics really needed to just to open up minutes.  Both guys have shown enough that someone would be willing to take them on.

I don't think the Knicks would ever make this trade though.  Porzingis is the one thing Phil Jackson has done right since becoming a GM in New York.

His stats are already pretty phenomenal and he's playing in a system that doesn't even maximize his talent in any way.  In fact, I'd go so far as to say that it's designed to minimize one of his best abilities (the ability to shoot from long range).

Imagine Kelly Olynyk with athletic ability, a mean streak, better rebounding, no hesitation to shoot, and a career average of 2 blocks per game and that's Porzingis.  He doesn't solve the rebounding problems on this team, but that's about the only thing he doesn't upgrade.
