I don't think so. He almost certainly won't do it with the Cavs who still have a better supporting cast (and probably do next year as well). Now if GS falls apart then maybe but GS is the clear team to beat for at least the next couple of seasons.
You can't be serious. Thomas is better than I Irving. And we have the rest of the team beat by a mile.
Eh. Thomas and Kyrie are largely a wash.
Love is probably better overall than Horford, although Horford remains better on defense.
Thompson is better than Amir.
I'd take AB over Smith, but it's close.
Having Marcus and Jae off the bench would be big. They add more than Korver and Jefferson, and that's without counting Jaylen.
I'd take Deron and Frye over Rozier and KO.
I think the two teams are close with Lebron. Maybe the Celts are an upgrade, maybe not. They're not so much of an upgrade that they'd be head and shoulders above the Warriors though.
That said, having Lebron forces the team to cash in our picks. Let's say we trade AB, Crowder, and BRK17 for George.
Horford / Amir / Zizic
Lebron / KO / Yabu
George / Brown / Nader
Smart / FA
IT / Rozier
That team might win three titles, especially with BRK18 as a trade chip.
I think Irving is better than Thomas especially playing next to James. Love is a better offensive player and much better on the glass than Horford but Horford is a much better defender. Horford is getting old fast though while Love just entered his prime. Smith and Bradley are similar level players. Thompson way better than Johnson. Shumpert is about a wash with Smart (Smart better defender but much worse shooter). Crowder is obviously very good but he would get like 6 minutes at SF and be forced to play PF a lot where he loses his effectiveness and he isn't the shooter Korver is (though is a much better overall player). Frye is a better version of Olynyk. There is no Brown on the Cavs but he is a couple of years away from being a real consistent contributor. You then have the BKN picks which as you say could be used in a trade but if they end up being drafted players are like Brown a few years away. By then James will be well out of his prime and his title hopes would hinge on the young guys who may oras not be that type.of player.
