as he was interviewed by mike and tommy so gracious and humble to be an owner of boston celtics
if i were a GM or coach  even player-to hear him speak as a trustee of celtics tradition and what red and bill russell built
i think he meant it when he committed to keep players to al horford -i would love him to go
over cap and pay the luxury tax-what a statement that would make to boston celtic basketball

Wyc is a pretty good combination of being passionate enough to be invested in team affairs, and smart enough to not be overly meddlesome in basketball operations. I think we've been very fortunate.

TP, rollie. Wyc doesn't get enough credit around here.

Remember Paul Gaston? Ugh.

Good ownership is huge in sports. Class, intelligence, and will to win filter down through the organization. It's not a coincidence that the Pats drastically improved after Kraft took over. Same with the C's and Wyc, and the Sox and John Henry.

We are truly blessed here in New England.

Now hopefully the Jacobs family takes a hike and sells the Bruins. It's hard to root for that club with that ownership. They are better than they used to be, but they are easily the worst owners in Boston.

It's amazing how important ownership is. You might not think it would trickle down to the play of the team but over and over again teams with bad owners underperform and teams like the teams that win are almost always clubs with committed, smart ownership.

Just look at the Yorks with the San Francisco 49ers. They've been a hot mess and even fired one of the better coaches in the NFL a couple years ago. That was the coach who brought that team to multiple conference championship games, and was just only four downs from the 7-yard line away from winning a Superbowl.

Blessed to have Wyc as the owner of the Celtics. Doesn't meddle too much into basketball operations, shows motivation for the team and fans, and help continue making the Celtics relevant alongside Danny Ainge.

I couldn't agree more.  I love the culture he has built and the confidence he has in Ainge and Stevens and the patience he has shown through this rebuild.  He understands the big picture commitment and it really helps when the owner has bought in to the direction the team is going without undermining them!
