Yeah, this league has changed where perimeter shooting is emphasized and yeah, leads can be wiped out pretty quickly if the other team shoots red hot for a stretch.

But for this Celtics team, it's becoming a REALLY BAD HABIT.

Up 13 yesterday, few minutes to go in the 3rd, and you let up a 31-10 run???

Even after we got back some starters they were still letting up points while simultaneously bricking 3s.

And it's not just yesterday. That Lakers game. Yeah, we won, but we had 30 point lead. Then we let up a 20-4 run and if it weren't for Smart's defensive heroics late, the lead is probably down to single digits with still 4-5 minutes left in the 4th.

While there are obviously a lot of factors that could cost us playoff games, not learning to hold leads like other good-great teams tend to do well could be catastrophic come playoff time. I shudder when it's a big lead and we have guys like Zeller and Rozier coming into the game.

Nobody in the NBA holds onto big leads the majority of the time.

The key is holding onto any lead in the last few minutes.

The biggest surprise was the quick large lead.   But that changed once the team that had all it's top talent adjusted to the team scrambling to replace two big men that play heavily in rotation.

Big leads mean zilch until the fourth quarter.  Everything before that is just posturing.

Welcome to the NBA.

Not all the time ,  but it seems way too much , when Zeller and Rozier the game , immediately the game changes direction in favor of the opponent.  Their bad games far out weight the good ones.
