Confidence is taught. As is a lack of confidence. It is taught by your experiences.
Maybe it sinks in. Perhaps it is dormant in some players. Bradley took a leap under Doc, but under Stevens he was given the opportunity to shatter ceilings on offense. Brad's good at bringing out the best in players. Maybe it's a cliche, but Stevens puts players in position to succeed.
Young must have taken this leap in the practice gym, then he lucked out with the next man up rule. He was ready.
The speed of this rebuild has been incredible.
Basketball is more about repetition and gelling than improvising.
Bird never had deer eyes in the headlight. It's got to do with players leaving college too early. I think it is a bit bizarre and has cheapened the quality of the game. And the refs are still awful. But the Celtics are doing very well. Big national t.v. game tonight to wrap it up. Guys can heal nagging injuries. The trade deadline. All good stuff. I probably won't watch the all-star game. I never got into that. Talk about boring.
