If Cousins can agree to do a sign and trade and the Kings manage to keep their pick then I can see us doing a cool deal here where both BKN picks go out for Cousins and their #10 pick, which could be a nice player like Jayson Tatum or Lauri Markkanen. I don't think you guys on here know more about this draft than the pundits, and they seem pretty stoked as opposed to previous years so I don't think we should block out the idea of drafting a player entirely out of our heads since DMC hasn't really been making the best case for "leader of the franchise"; we're taking a gamble, IDK why it only has be ONE gamble though.
We're just going to need to get the salaries together to match that inevitable 40 million/a year for 5 years offer sheet the DMC will get. I don't see Kings moving Cousins before seeing where that pick lands and to make a trade work by then Danny will most surely have to accept Amir's team option, and there's a real risk of Amir sticking around next season if Kings don't like where the pick lands or have more interest in building around Cousins then say, whoever is left on the board at #2.
