Question?

Do you guys notice Brown seems to be making a lot of rookie mistakes but has not been getting pulled as fast.   Even though his minutes are down from the beginning of the season, he seems to be getting a little more leash to make mistakes.   Maybe Anige is telling him to play him more?

Do you think Brad is forcing minutes?  Or does he not trust or have anyone else we have?    His D and energy seems to be picking up.

My favorite thing about Brown is the way he attacks the basket.   The worst is when he tries to do to much, puts his head down jumps in the air and makes a bad pass/shot.

I imagine he is getting better in practice and the team is allowing him to grow through the expected rookie mistakes.

I don't see what you're seeing. I see him make one mistake and then be pulled out. I think Stevens should give him a bigger leash. Go small, give less minutes to JJ and KO

I agree with tank city. Leash still too short.

Rivers was blamed for not playing Rookies. Now we have another coach that does not play Rookies. See a pattern here? Is it Danny that does not like to play Rookies?

Jaylen's three most recent games he played 8, 14, and 5 minutes.  Sure doesn't look like he is getting more time.

Or that teams competing for the playoffs don't play rookies big minutes?  It's very rare to find a top-4 team in either conference that plays rookies big minutes (especially when they just turned 20 this season)
I'm bitter.

I was not happy with the brown pick however I'm growing more excited to watch him play.  I like that he's getting more aggressive.  We need an aggressive player other than smart on the offense

not seeing it myself but his PT seems to be dictated more by who's injured at the time.

No coach likes to play rookies. At one point, Scott Brooks had an ancient Earl Watson starting over Russell Westbrook for the whole year.

No, not at all, and now Gerald is starting to heat up and is deserving of minutes, too. Jaylen's best bet at more playing time is a trade for a big. I am glad he isn't getting a bunch of DNPs, but I think most of us were willing to live through some growing pains so we could see what we really have in this rookie.

That's an easy argument to make, but top 4 teams in each conference usually don't have a top 3 pick they are trying to break in. 'Big' minutes is all relative, too. I think if Brown consistently got 8+ minutes in the first half and 8+ minutes in the 2nd half, fans wouldn't be so quick to complain about his playing time.

Great point that goes with the point I was making in another thread. The Net's picks we are getting along with our competitive team presents a peculiar problem for this team. Are we in win mode now (which means we do not have playing time for Rookies) or are we building for the future (which requires heavy playing time for our rookies). It is really a perplexing and complex issue for the front office and coaching staff and probably needs a thread of its own.

When he is playing well he stays in more.   PT is earned here and I like it.  I get excited every time he comes off the bench because the potential of a wow play being upped when he is in there.
