A lot of things don't look good for Boston unfortunately.

I think even if Hayward or Griffin decide to leave their current teams, it may be a lot more difficult for Boston to sign them without letting quite a few young players/prospects leave, and as the article mentions, "possibly a member of the current CORE".

Makes it more likely Danny drafts with the Nets Pick, and the TWolves 2nd (likely around #35, which is pretty good in a DEEP draft), and then signs one of the second tier options (like Noel, Millsap or Ibaka).

Yep.

The piece points out that it would've been nice to have the two-way contracts this season but having them next season will be good for the C's who are probably still going to be overstuffed with young regardless of what deals they make.

The thing I'm hoping is that you can preserve draft rights with two-way contracts, including first rounders.  Zizic looks like he's ready to be a contributor next year, but I think Yab would really benefit with a year in Maine, and it'd be nice if they could give him that without starting his rookie deal.  It would also preserve cap room.

I don't think that is a smart path.  What are you going to do next offseason when Thomas, Bradley and Smart are all free agents?  If Ainge doesn't see a path to get a star to make us a contender, he needs to look at trading IT and/or Bradley assuming he can get a good return.  I'm assuming Smart isn't going to cost as much to re-sign or have the trade value of IT or Bradley.  I might offer Bradley to the Sixers for Noel and the Lakers pick.
