Be competitive and hope a Nets pick pans out.

Try to win.

Get healthy.

Look for good trades that helps the team move towards being a contender.

Let the Nets draft picks be the tanking picks.

Basically, what we are watching.   Team needs to get healthy.   Team needs to build chemistry.   Team probably needs to add a big man to do the dirty work.

Hope a star becomes available.

IT and AB will lose a lot of value if we don't trade them and after next year they could walk...also they are both small for positions and age will be a factor for them.

I'd trade for Okafor if given the chance.

Whats not to get? We got our built-in tank rebuilding picks from the Pierce/Garnett Trade.

Why on earth would we waste time tanking after getting those picks from Brooklyn?

Be competitive now while building for long-term sustained success as a contender.

It's a slow climb.  Try to maximize flexibility of team assets whether its trade, free agency, or draft.  Hope things hit where you have a bonafide title contender a couple of seasons down the road while, at the same time, developing the current roster and see what unfolds in the present.

The thing is though, GMs are not trading Stars for role players. You need young studs.

This is what I meant in my "watching fewer games" thread.  Until Ainge makes a move, it seems that the team is treading water.

Meanwhile, the $113mm investment in Horford is being squandered.  At age 31, he might even be wondering why he came here...Houston wanted him too.
