Horford fits really well on this team.  He's not Durant.

KD missed out on something special, though. Thomas / Bradley / Durant / Crowder / Horford would have been a contender.

Would be champions if you ask me...Cleveland will have fits trying to beat that line up. All healthy plus KD Boston would have stomped the competition.

They are so weak in bigs after Horford it's hard to tell. Horford isn't the scorer Durant is, but then Durant isn't the rebounder Horford is. Though Al is not a big rebounder. I would take Durant--for his scoring.

Horford's injury showed how thin they are up front. It's pretty clear they can't afford to have him out of the lineup with the current roster. Ainge needs to make a deal for another big who can rebound.

Since the start of last season, Durant is actually the better rebounder.

I would've definitely preferred Durant..

After getting Durant, we could've traded some assets for either Boogie, go all in with IT, Durant, and DMC as our big 3. Or picked up a defensive big like Noel, who is clearly on his way out.

Is this really a thread?  Pretty embarrassing really.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah

Special? Not sure about that. It's still a small lineup that can't rebound and has bench issues. The only thing Durant is missing here is being able to say that he isn't riding anyone's coat tails.

Horford is a far superior player to Durant at this stage.

IF all we added was Durant I think we still finish behind Cle. We would lose to Cle straight up and if we snuck passed We would still lose to the Spurs or GSW...
KD is a glorified Role player... He doesn't have the dog in him.

IF he had Westbrooks heart he could be one of the best of all time.. But as has been proven.. He doesnt. Never will.

say what?  Durant's a top-5 player in the league.  Bron, Curry, Davis, Durant and maybe Cousins in the top 5 (not necessarily in that order).

Al, love his game to pieces, is not.

Durant allllll day.   Then Danny makes moves in the off season to fill out the roster.....

Say we get Durant.   I bet we keep Sulley and don't sign Green.   What team is better?   Same squad with Durant/Sulley or Al/Green.   I think that is a no brainier.

Saying that maybe our record is worse since Sulley is hurt, or maybe he does not get hurt.
