With Gerald, it's one of those moves where if it works out, great! If it doesn't work out, it doesn't matter. Celtics aren't paying him substantial long-term money, so they can just waive him.

I've already said a few times why I think Gerald could be a great fit next year (Thrives in a pace & space system, decent 3-pt shooter on a team that relies on 3-pt shooting), but I won't be too upset if he isn't.

This board has gotten incredibly boring. If there was no Rollie, I'd never read it.

It will be a competition similar to how we had a glut of bigs. Brad Stevens makes decisions and then he often changes them. He likes to experiment. He is the equivalent of a good hitter who can afford to look at pitches and still gets hits with an 0-2 count.

If Brown plays well, he will get minutes. A lot of this depends on who the opponent is and how well certain players blend well together. I think we are going to have a huge boost in efficiency and team play without Evan Turner. There was that stretch when we lost Rondo and won six games in a row. Losing Evan Turner will feel liberating to these guys. Evan played well, kept improving and tried his best, but he kind of had too much influence in my opinion.

The Celtics will be competing for a title this year. The most boring aspect of this board is how often people make sweeping comments only to be proven wrong time and time again. Such comments usually revolve around the word treadmill. They will be the last fans to know we are already a top contender.

So many of the louder voices here had no clue how good we had become. Now they act like they are still to be relied on for their opinions. They just keep posting and posting and posting. I couldn't care less. When people are so wrong so often, why waste the time?

How much time do these people waste talking about trades that never happen? You can't always get what you want, but sometimes you get what you need. I think Mick Jagger said that.
happens every year at this time. it is called the off season.  ;D

perhaps you could solve this boring situation with some stimulating threads or discussions yourself?
Or he could have discussions by himself as another poster was called out for doing earlier today ;)  That's always interesting.
