as long as you have mega stars earning less than the max salary individuals can skirt the pro-competition policy reason for the salary cap.

GSW now has arguably four legitimate max salary players on their team.

Curry

Thompson

Green

Durant

There should be a way to fix this. I have made this argument for years. Most notably when Karl Malone and Gary Peyton moved to the Lakers for less money than their market value.

the only reason y curry isnt getting a max was because of his injuries earlier in his career. tbh, those early injuries are the greatest thing to happen to the golden state franchise.

Money does not change the heart of a man.. He is going to place to make Less to play with Curry.. This has nothing to do with Money.  He is not an Alpha, he wasn't in OKC and he wont be in GS..

Some guys wont fight unless they are surrounded by others while Some guys will fight an entire bar  alone and regardless of outcome..

This Move illustrates who KD is that's all.

I see no issue nor Problem..  There is a cap, spend the money how you choose.. IF you want 4 or 5 big guns and a bunch of BB's on the bench then okay.. Have at it..

whats the gripe?
To me the issue is the Larry Bird exception. The Warriors deserve to be in this situation because they drafted well and built an affordable team. But with the silly cap rules, the Warriors will be able to retain all of their stars as they become free agents. That's lame. Plus the ability to go over the cap to sign minimum level players is also lame. The Warriors should now have to play this season with 8 players. These cap exceptions are lame.

Yea but A) They will pay a Super Ridiculous luxury tax that does something super bad when you have to pay it 3 years in a row.. But if the team wants to pay that that's their prerogative,  and B) sure they can sign there own but Bringing in new Quality Talent to help will be super hard.. They are losing Barns this year, Bogut is nearly done and Andre soon.. This run they will have will be short.  They are going to run an already Fragile Curry right into the ground..
