Right up there with Bird. He's a far better athlete than Bird. Bird was more clutch and more of an assassin. But I don't know if those mental aspects count as talent. Overall it's probably Durant by a little bit due to his superior athleticism.

In every other human context, mental gifts are considered a measure of talent.  KD ain't Bird yet.

2nd behind Bird with potential to pass him overall, but not as a Celtic.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

KG's first season here he was the most dominant defensive big man I have seen. I dont know why people always say that defense wins championships and then harp on the offensive players. KG won the award for 'defensive player of the year' that season.

You can argue that KD is the best offensive player in the league but again, it's already been substantiated by the league that KG was the best defensive player. For that reason, and the fact that we won the title his first year here I still put KG above KD. McHale too was dominant and his combination of offense and defense was amazing and puts him right there wth KD in my opinion.

I say KD falls behind Russ, Bird and KG and is ties with McHale, Havlicek and maybe even Pierce. Let's not forget who went toe to toe with Lebron and Kobe in the playoffs and came out on top! Until KD takes us to the Finals I'm not putting him any higher.

Maybe I don't know what Talent is but in my opinion Bird is legend not because of his Athletic ability (because he didn't have much of that)  He was all Talent, Smarts and Guts..  The guy was probably the slowest Super stud to ever play the position but he could hit shots and passes from every angle imaginable..

Durant is blessed with Crazy Length, size and speed and he is a gifted shooter.. But Talent wise I don't think he can hold a Candle to Bird.

I've never seen Russell play so I cant count accurately comment on his game.
