...Yet he will reportedly not mull pitches from the Knicks and Nets. Is it possible he is leaning towards Boston so he chose the closest major city to Boston, thereby enabling a clandestine meeting in Boston? I mean, if he had opted for say Austin, where he went to school, would we not suspect him of leaning towards San Antonio and having some sort of clandestine meeting setup there? Of course, had he opted for Oklahoma City, we would all assume he is leaning towards sticking it out with the Thunder.

Plus, he gets to hang out in New York for a few days.

Is his agent based in New York?
I'm bitter.

Durant is represented by 'Roc Nation' which has headquarters in New York. Nothing to see here.

True, but Chicago fits that bill better when you consider the location of three of the teams, not to mention the fact it would be an easier trip for Durant to make.

Ah! This explains it. For some reason, I thought they were headquartered in LA.

I don't know how reliable this dude is, but worth mentioning it nonetheless:

I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

This guy is the New York version of Sherrod.

How do I know? I used to live in New York, (New York native born and raised, but fell in love with Pierce,) and people used to hate on his ridiculous posts and tweets, because 95%, (not exaggeration,) this guy will make up things for views/subscribers.

Do not believe a single word he says. Unless reported by Woj, TheVertical, or anyone else reputable, I don't believe a single shred of it.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism

That is like getting into a really prestigious school and then finding out that the dude who gets straight Ds also got into the same school. It makes his meeting with us a little less special.

Hopefully it isn't a reliable source.

You get a TP for pure, unadulterated optimism. No chance it has anything to do with NYC being a few hours from Boston, but the tone around here has been so down over the past few days that it's nice to see some pep.

The New York Knicks have earned their way onto Durant’s radar, having traded for Derrick Rose recently to create quite the combination with Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis. Yet as of now, it remains to be seen how that particular scenario will be handled. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the private nature of the situation.

What does "on the radar" mean?  It sounds like someone trying to soothe the Knicks hurt feelings because Durant won't meet with them.
