Appearing on Jason Terry's "Runway" program on Sirius XM NBA Radio on Wednesday night, Thomas was adamant that he can make an intriguing pitch to Durant and plans to stay in his ear.
Isaiah Thomas would rather dish to Kevin Durant than be guarded by him.

"We definitely have a shot,"Thomas said. "I know that for sure. And I’m just trying to reach out when I can and stay in his ear a little bit here and there. I know it’s a tough time for him because everybody’s probably trying to reach out and get him to go where they want him to go. But my relationship with him is real genuine and hopefully I can get him to come to Boston and we can bring Banner 18 here."

Terry pressed Thomas on how he would pitch Boston to Durant.

"The biggest thing for me, especially when I got there, it was just seeing the tradition," Thomas said. "Just putting on the Boston Celtics uniform and knowing that all those guys who had done it before you, you gotta represent the way they did. It’s an honor to even be in the Celtics' organization. And I just think, with the fan base and the sports town that Boston is, it’s one of a kind.

"I’ve never seen anything like it. I haven’t played in the LAs or the New Yorks or things like that but Boston, and what I’ve heard and what I’ve seen, there’s nothing like it. And if you win in Boston you’ll be loved forever. So that’s the only thing I can tell him. I keep it real short and genuine, keep it real with him. Boston is one of the best cities that I’ve ever been a part of."

I think Kevin Durant is definitely intrigued by Boston.

We are a young and upcoming team that didn't do well in the playoffs due to us not having the right scorer, but we definitely had one of the most grittiest and determined players that blended well with chemistry.

Everyone bought in. There was stability, and harmonious unity within the locker room. When we lost, we all called each out without pointing at names, but simply saying we know we can do better. And I think that stability, front office, Ainge making the right moves along by being re-signed with Stevens too; would only confirm that our organization is determined on repeating the previous year success.

So let me ask you guys.

What players do you honestly think Durant would want to play with?

I'll throw out a few of my personal names, and explanations, and I would love for you guys to do the same. This thread shouldn't be about who's right, or who's a wrong fit. Its all about sharing your opinions, because at the end of the day, this is all speculation, but this is us commenting and sharing each others thoughts.

1) Al Horford- I don't think its been a secret that people have stated Horford is someone Durant would love to play with. He's a good inside and out big with declining, but somewhat okay rebounding, and can defend, while being able to pass well for his position. The thing I love about Horford, is his ability to shoot, and how he's stretched out to the 3 point line. With Durant drawing double teams, Horford should get plenty of space.

2) Kevin Love- Love and Durant are really good friends. Durant and Love met each other from AAU, and have been close friends since 7th grade. Love and Durant definitely compliment each other, by being both excellent passers, shooters, and fantastic rebounders for their prospective positions. Its not a surprise Love at least dotes on Boston a little bit, due to his visit, photos, and camaraderie with the general population. He talked about tradition, and so has Durant.

Durant and Love have been thick as thieves since the seventh grade, relates the long-time confidant of Stan Love, Kevin’s father. They competed at countless AAU tournaments, talked late into many a morning about their future, money and how to keep it, girls, and basketball, texting daily when apart about their recruitment adventures.

For four years, they bunked together at the Nike Skills Camp in Portland, Ore. Even though Love lived down the road, he chose to hang with Durant. In the off hours, Stan would pick them up and bring them to his house, where countless hours were spent shooting the breeze and jumpers in the driveway.

3) Isaiah Thomas- He would be a perfect fit, because he's in his prime, and will definitely be more of a threat with other scorers. He's an Allstar, one of his best career years statistically, while being able to lead us to 48 wins. Hes also underrated for his passing, and-

Oh wait. We do have him!

That would be one hell of a front court. It'd be tricky trying to fit all three of them in the cap, though.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.
