would most likely have to give more than just the third pick. Lets say the trade is #3, Jordan Mickey, 31st for Favors.

Utah is said to be very high on Trey Lyles at PF. Gobert already provides them with stellar interior defense, which i wouldn't go as far as to say makes Derrick Favors expendable, but at least provides them more flexibility if the right deal comes along.

Favors is young, productive, and on a reasonable contract so i could see why the Jazz would have reservations about moving him. But what a fit he would be in Boston!

I'd do it

Which makes me think they wouldn't

But they just might!

Favors would be a great get
I trust Danny Ainge

Not for the 3rd pick Favors is below All star level. You don't trade a top ten pick for that.

I would never do that. Favors is a fine player but we can do better with this pick.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Maybe something like Favors and #12 for #3 and #23? Maybe substitute Mickey for #23 if they insist, though I like his potential if they would actually put him on the floor?

CelticsBlog... where Crowder > #3 > Favors

Favors is a 24 year-old borderline All-Star center who averages 16 and 8 with excellent defense. It's fine to prefer a rookie contract with upside, but the Jazz aren't going to throw us extra pieces to get #3.

Lol all you want. I still wouldn't 16/8 isn't top 10 pick worthy
