I would think there is always a team looking to rebuild and land a pick or two. Could there be a team willing to let an above average role player/ border line all star go for one or both those first? My guesses for guys on the trade block.

Nuggets- Galli, Faried, Lauv, Chandler
Knicks-Lopez, Affalo, Calderon
Nets-Young, Lopez,
Grizz-Fire sale if Conley leaves
Hawks-Teague, Korver, Sef, basically they looking to get younger
Jazz-Favors
76ers-Noel

Any I might be missing or wrong about?

I don't see the Jazz parting with Favors. I doubt PHI moves Noel for so little, either.

I wonder if MIL might move Greg Monroe for a mid-1st and salary relief. He's on a short-term deal.

I see Monroe and Noel as in the same boat not great fits, shorter term deals. Monroe though is kind of a need. While Noel isn't.
Favors has replacements there in Utah. The team also isn't going anywhere in the West for another two or three years. By then Favors will have no value because contract is up. It may be cash in time.

I'd be interested in this type of deal only after we potentially strike in free agency or other high profile trades. He's only got two more years left on his deal, and we've seen how absolutely dominant he can be as a low post scorer and rebounder. Honestly, that's a no-brainer deal if it only cost us one of our non-lottery firsts, and we'd greatly improve two areas of need in scoring (especially post scoring) and rebounding. Put Amir next to him, and that's probably the second best team in the East.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Greg monroe, Kenneth faried, Robin Lopez, Zach Randolph.

I don't think you'll see any wings in that category. The market inefficiency these days is big men who don't have an obvious role in a series against the Warriors.

Utah is really only one good PG away from making the leap in the West.

Even if UTA felt it wasn't going to happen for them, I have to believe Favors would command a much higher price tag than a mid-1st rounder.

The success that OKC had with Kanter and Adams really ought to give Utah renewed faith in the potential of favors and gobert.

They need some more quality wings for that team though, in addition to the obvious need at pg.

Yeah the price tag is probably too low if you go off his Per. If you just go wins, team role, and actual posted numbers he isn't a impressive player. He is a 16/8/1.5/1.5 guy the last three years. You shouldn't have to break the bank for that guy or give up anything like a top 10 pick for him. He is good but not great.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Monroe would fit in nicely, assuming we can get another big who can stretch the floor. I am hoping that is KO, but he is not really showing to be starter material at this point in his career.

I wouldn't want to give up too much for Monroe, though - Milwaukee signed him for free last summer and then they got markedly worse. I am not saying this is Monroe's fault, but he is teetering on Josh Smith in Detroit territory (signed as a FA, put up decent stats, then total implosion) if Milwaukee doesn't begin to improve. They may soon just be looking at him as a salary dump.

Are you kidding me? OKC lost with two top ten players along with those guys. If anything that crushes your hope of what Favors and Gobert can do because you have no KD or Westbrook. All you have is Hayward and Hood not even in the same ball park.
