I was recently reading that teams can only put up $650,000 to buy out a Euro contract and that the rest comes out of the players NBA salary. Rookie pay scale for 3rd pick is $3,952,500. Danny always pays the allowed 120% = 4,743,000. Dragan's 7 year contract allows for a NBA buyout after 4 years (in time for the 2019-2020 NBA season). Anytime before that will require an "expensive" buyout.
Does anyone know the amount of the buyout. If it is going to cost the kid $4 mil (I am just picking a number here to make an point) of his own money, does he have any incentive to come to the NBA before Nov 2019 (the month and year he turns 22 years old)?
