I think Olynyk would be a very good complement to Faried in the frontcourt. KO's got legit size, although not as strong as other centers out there, but I think on most nights, it would work on both sides of the ball.

Al Horford would be another really good frontcourt partner with Faried, I think.
Denver has Jokic who should be about as good as you can do to compliment Faried going forward.  The problem is Faried is a horrible compliment to Jokic, Olynyk or Horford.  Olynyk and Jerebko together have been extremely successful and it is because of the spacing and defense they provide as a compliment to each other.

Faried is in a different league entirely than Sully.  I love Faried.

Not really. To start one is a fat slob and the other is in great shape. ;)

Faried and Sullinger, aside from their rebounding rates, could not be more different from one another as players. Sullinger is skilled on offense - decent midrange shooter, respectable from 3 (for a big man), very good passer - but lacks the physical makeup to finish inside at the pro level. Defensively, he uses his length and BBIQ to not be a complete liability. Faried is all effort and physical makeup on both ends of the floor.

None of this is to say we shouldn't look at Faried, but he's not a "better Sullinger" - he's a completely different brand of big man. Additionally, he would likely be a tricky fit in Stevens' system because of his lack of shooting/passing/general versatility, unless we get better players - namely, better shooters.

Pretty much nailed it.

Yeah, one is an athlete, the other is not.   Apples and Pumpkins in this case.

Despite his athleticism, Faried is not a good defender.  And he has no offensive skills.
Provides a lot of energy and rebounding off the bench but that's it.

I'd rather save that 13m of cap space to sign a top tier free agent, or try to steal another team's RFA.

Does Sullinger or Zeller have any 'sign and trade' value?
