Pick one - Crowder or Bradley

Pick one - Olynyk or Amir

Pick one - Smart or 2016 BRK

Sweeteners if necessary (one or two): Young, Hunter, Rozier, DAL pick, BOS pick, PHI pick

There's your trade package.

That's a pretty massive return. I'd probably do it if I were Chicago – assuming the goal is to get rid of Butler.

Jae Crowder, Marcus Smart, Kelly Olynyk, Terry Rozier, RJ Hunter, 2018 Nets pick, 2016 Celtics pick, 2016 Mavs Pick for Jimmy Butler

That's a major overpay. You're not getting Crowder + Smart + a Brooklyn pick for Butler, let alone with KO, Rozier, and the Mavs pick, too.
You might think it's an overpay but the Bulls aren't taking any offers that are much less then this. It's pretty much in the ballpark to get the Bulls talking.

The other thing is. If the Bulls are looking to resign Noah, it's because they are trying to win now and are hoping he makes a comeback and becomes relevant again. That to me means they aren't trading Butler unless you wow them with pieces that are ready to ball right away. It's much more believable they bring butler into the fold but if traded, they will want Smart, Crowder and nets pick or IT and Crowder.

I agree.  I think it'd still leave the Celts with enough to make other moves and take another big step toward contention.

A massive return is what the Bulls will require to move Butler.

I honestly don't know why some here think Butler is worth all our draft picks and best players on our team?

Pretty much, except you don't want Amir in there. You need to have his salary to drop off to still have space for two max free agents.

It's all contingent on Butler wanting out. If he doesn't want out, I don't think the Bulls are going to accept a decent package for him. But if he does want out, maybe we can get him for 90 cents on the dollar. I like something like #16, #23, #31, a future first rounder, some future second rounders, Rozier, Young or Hunter, and Jerbko or Olynyk.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
If that's a top 3 pick, I don't see how the trade isnt fair, especially given the Bulls likely in denial restart mode with aged injured Noah and Rose.
Pau is a goner too. They need him to win. I see a Butler trade a coming as well. Hopefully with the money out there someone will sign Noah quickly too.

He's a top 15 player who is really good on both ends.
