"All the negativity that’s on Celticsblog sucks. I’ve been around when Kyrie Irving was criticized. I’ve been around when Al Horford was insulted. And it stinks. It makes the greatest team, greatest fans in the world, lousy."

An example of why NBA is losing its interests.

And should've won either Saturday or Monday games.

I'm 100% in favor of scrapping conferences and divisions and seeding 1-16 based on regular season record.

As for tie breakers, why not just use point differential?

Here's how the playoffs would look if that were the case:

Bracket 1

GSW (1) vs CHI (16)

TOR (4) vs DET (13)

BOS ( 8 ) vs CHA (9)

OKC (5) vs POR (12)

Bracket 2

SAS (2) vs MEM (15)

CLE (3) vs DAL (14)

LAC (6) vs IND (11)

ATL (7) vs MIA (10)

Mostly I just want to see the Finals be Warriors versus Spurs.  Easily the two best teams in the league this year.

In real life, I suspect the Finals will be hard-fought, perhaps, but not especially competitive in the end, unless there are injuries in the West.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Not a fan of this at all.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I can understand how people who have been watching the game longer than I have would dislike the idea of upending history, so you have all of these East/West matchups prior to the Finals.

Personally, I find it refreshing and interesting.  I like the idea of Cleveland actually getting a challenge prior to the Finals, for example, given that they're just the 3rd best team in the league, maybe.
