Like, Ive said before---NONE of this matters---because the number combinations assigned to teams are NOT random---they are in sequential order---makes a big difference.

It's like buying a lottery ticket, and selecting the numbers 1,2,3,4,5...you have absolutely ZERO chance of that combination being drawn randomly.

Oh, dear. I mean this in the nicest possible way but you need some help understanding statistics and probability.

I'm afraid you are right Boris. The chance of combination 1,2,3,4,5 drawn randomly is as big as 5,4,3,2,1 and as big as 3,5,1,4,2 and as 3,3,3,3,3.

10x10x10x10x10 = a chance of 1 in 100.000 that you have the right combination. If drawn randomly of course. When it's rigged, it's rigged :P

in 2007....EVERY number combination the C's were Assigned by the league had the number 1 or 2 in them---meaning they were screwed as soon as neither number was drawn....it's incredible that NBA teams put up with this....

it's also an easy way to rig the drawing, if you wanted to---just bring in the new, "Secured" balls (in a locked box)....The balls are forced upwards with air pressure---add some weight to balls 1 & 2...and you eliminate teams from getting a top pick....Make the number combinations random---and it eliminates any concern over Rigged lottery drawings.

lol no.

Imagine 5 random numbers being picked in a certain order. For example's sake let's say the numbers are: 7,4,9,12,14.

Why would those 5 numbers have more chance of being picked in that order than 1,2,3,4,5 or any other 5 number combo?

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

The Boston Celtics will end up with the 3rd pick in the draft when everything is said and done. The lottery is 100% fixed. The Lakers will end up with the lottery pick and Philly with the 2nd and Celtics at #3. What I do is think what would be best for the NBA. OK so if the Celtics are in the playoffs and the Lakers are in the playoffs the NBA is much more interesting. The NBA wants both at the top again for it drives up the ratings.

Lakers get Ben Simmons and Celtics trade out of #3 for either Demarcus Cousins or Jimmy Butler. In 3 years both Lakers n Celtics are the two top dogs again fighting for the 18th n 17th tittle...
