Poeltl probably won't be a future All Star, just a quality role player. Sabonis basically fills that role, without the need to use a top 5 pick on him. Poeltl was projected as a late first rounder last season.

More like mid-1st... his stock isn't that different this year. He's not the sexiest player, but poor man's Bogut and long-term starter is within reach. I think if you're picking outside the top 8 he's pretty good value.

Just finished watching the Game. Poeltl couldn't even keep up! He was sucking wind, and had to continually got to the bench!

His Endurance is a huge question mark. Sabonis turned his ankle and dominated Poeltl.
The announcer said, you heard of New York tough, well this kid is Lithuanian tough.
Gonzagas coach said he's the toughest player he's ever coached.

I Love the kid and would take him over Poeltl any day, and when you factor in draft position the choice is easy. Sabonis.

I'm 100% confident in his shooting ability, his form is almost perfect. Just needs to take more shots.

Should point out this game was in Denver, which can make a lot of players have endurance issues.

Should also point out that Poeltl has been playing ball for U of Utah, which is in Salt Lake City, which is pretty high itself at 4200 ft elevation.

I think Poeltl just had a bad game.  It happens.

If we end up with the 5th or 6th pick, I have no problem taking Poeltl, if he's the best player available.

I also would be totally pleased if instead we used our top pick on a wing and picked up someone like Sabonis with either the Dallas pick or our pick.

I actually don't think Sabonis will last all the way to our own pick.  I think he'll be gone well before #20.
