It seemed not too long ago that we were all relieved that Smart supposedly got through his slump. Now it seems we are watching him go through another slump.

Bad fouls.

Bad shooting.

Bad drives to the hoop.

Getting beat on D consistently. This is the strangest one.

I'm still hopeful that he can pull it together but maybe he's a couple years away still. Right now Brad is gonna need to pull him quicker when he's slumping because he's giving the Cs very little lately.

Maybe it wasn't specifically Smart's fault but thought we needed the starters back in sooner in the second quarter.

I agree he hasn't stood out recently like he has at times. As far as his shooting, and scoring overall, he's a streaky player. I think that's just who he is.

I would like to see Smart at the two and Rozier backing up the point.

There are a lot of streaky shooters that shoot 45 percent or over. Smart is shooting 36 percent. I'm not sure we can call him streaky if his overall shooting percentage is that bad.

he has been debilitated by the refs. clearly they have an agenda against him.

He's a clunky player. Not surprised by the fouls.

Sure, clearly. That is the only possible explanation.

So we can win less?

Rozier would not have a positive impact because he would be taking time away from NBA players.

Well, he has 5-10 game stretches where he shoots close to 40% from three and decent overall from the field.

Then he'll go a few weeks where he's shooting around 30% or worse.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I think he may have hurt his leg 2 games ago not long after he checked in.
Even today when he was running down the court he looked really stiff and I'd say he's not 100%.

That being said, that's only for 2 or 3 games.

He's had a solid 20 game stretch so let's cross our fingers that this is just the result of a niggling injury or something.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. the guy has become "spoiled merchandise" and because he's so young, he's not handling it like a seasoned pro would. as a matter of fact this is the first time in a very long time I saw the entire defense affected by the blatant bad foul calling by the refs. why??? King James and his posse of officiating goons!!!

I didn't see the game last night but I think Smart has done well over the past few weeks. If you want him to be an offensive player you better hope he works hard on his game because it doesn't look like a natural for him. He's young and missed a lot of games in the past 2 years, still needs more time!

I thought that save where he saved the block going out of bounds was amazing last night.   But shooting wise meh.

This, TP. Marcus is a streaky player, which is why I don't really expect him to score a lot of points during games. Still incredible how he can drop 23 points on Westbrook and then go 1-10 against a bad team the next game ::)
Jack of all trades, master of none.
