I'm hoping Danny signs a defensive minded center tomorrow. If that doesn't happen bringing back Thornton might be something to consider. He provided instant offense during his stay in Boston.

He might also provide valuable insurance in case injuries pop up with Smart, Bradley or Jerebko. *Bradley already missed a game to knee soreness a week or so back.

Anyone else feel he might be worth signing?  Or, would we better off not signing anyone?

Don't hate the idea.

I actually didn't mind him when he was here.  He's capable of blowing up on offense at times, seemed to have a pretty decent attitude, and while his defense wasn't spectacular he always did seem to try hard.

I think you're in trouble if he is a core guy, but as insurance in the back-court I don't think it's a bad idea, assuming we can't get somebody better or more useful (e.g. a rim protector).

He proved this year that he is still quite capable as a scorer.

With the drafted Marcus Thornton on the Red Claws, and the prospect of signing the former Celtic Marcus Thornton, the C's could become the first team in league history to employ two Marcus Thorntons.  Just imagine....  It would be like Jay Williams playing with Jay Williams.  Michael Jordan playing with Michael Jordan...  Isiah Thomas playing with Isaiah Thomas.  How exciting.
