1. He can't be worse than Jerebko, and
You clearly haven't been watching him this year, because he can and has been for years. The Raptors, Jazz, and Thunder weren't playing him for a reason. This is an absurd suggestion.
2. Three-point shooting is a need right now.
His lack of dimension to his game beyond shooting and his complete inability to defend absolutely negates that. He's a significantly worse version of Anthony Morrow, who's also been unable to hold down significant spots in various team rotations due to his defensive shortcomings, despite his prolific shooting.
Novak's value at this point in his career is in being a good locker room presence who's totally content not to be in your rotation.
