For those who havent read about it, the Rockets last night took the Hack-a-Player strategy to a whole new level.  They fouled Andre Drummond like 12 times in just under 3 minutes if I remember correctly.  They even sent a end of bench player in the game to intentionally foul him 6 times in a row to get the team into the penalty.

The Rockets were down by 9 points to start the 2nd half when all this started, and because of it, they were able to come back and take a lead.  Drummond missed an NBA record 23 free throws.

Yes, Detroit won the game, but it was because Detroit was forced to remove Drummond from the game and win the game without him.

I know this topic has been discussed a ton on here, some for it and some against it.  Lots have said if I remember correctly, that it doesnt work.  Well, this game was the best proof I have ever seen.  Houston didnt win the game and they probably embarrassed themselves and KJ McDaniel in the process, but they showed everyone in the league thats playing in a close game in the playoffs against Detroit a good way to either close the gap and win or get Drummond out of the game, which could in and of itself lead to a victory.

Lots of people are disgusted by this, and yeah I get it, its not entertaining.  But I love it, this is game that revolves around shooting a ball into a hoop.  If your best player cant do that, it SHOULD be a weakness that your opponent is allowed to exploit
