KO other than being white and having similar rebounding skills is NOTHING like dirk. That being said, he excells taking any size guy to the hoop.. more like carmelo without a fadeaway.. KO, high post, clear out let him put it on the floor and prepare for offensive rebounds. LB33's point about minutes is spot on. Now is a perfect time to run a heap of offense for him. Let him put up 18 field goals for 4 games straight and asess. Ilgauskas had a career... so can kelly.

How about the part where they're both 7 ft shooters? Or that Kelly has said he looks up to Dirk, and has modeled a number of shots and moves after him?

He doesn't have to be a Dirk robot to make the comparison a reasonable one...

I think it's been a while since the Dirk comparisons were common.

To me he's looking more and more like another hair-flowing wonder: Luis Scola.

That's not a bad thing, either.  I love me some Scola.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

KO throws up the Dirk fade away every once in a while. They are both Canadian

I would be overjoyed if KO ever got to be as good as Luis Scola. He's got a ways to go to get there.
