Well fair to say the thread I recently made about would you trade back of the Brooklyn pick if we could acquire

 Ellenson
 Jakob Poeltl
 Caris Levert

That would be genius right now considering Ford has them at #4 #7 and #15 overall prospects.

I even predicted Jakob as the slider. Can't believe Ellenson is now at four. A bit too high for me.

But I'm still a drafting genius guru. IMHO.
Wow, you need to stop being so cocky. Pat yourself on the back one more time! How about you don't declare yourself a "drafting genius guru" when the draft hasn't even happened yet.
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

Not a fan of Chad Ford.  I think he's terrible actually.  I agree this draft is better than people think.  A lot of good players but one's that fit us probably a select few.  There are actually a lot of big guards like Marcus but more offensively geared.  Some interesting big men.  Some solid pg's.  And some top tier wings.
he is the second most accurate behind draft express in mock draft accuracy.

Even adjusting his mocks years later can't get him better than Draft Express
I'm bitter.

I'll say I would love to land these prospects. Seems out of reach now.

Jakob is the best Center in the draft. Maybe Stone has more Upside but I doubt it.

Ellenson is the new stretch four in the NBA. Defensive unknown.

Levert does it all on the perimeter. And he's actually tall! We need tall quick guys.

If poetl is the best center of the draft, that's how sad this draft is outside of the top 2

Poetl is going to be the 2nd coming of Zeller.

Statistically Zellers senior year and Poetlt Soph year are very similar. However Poeltl is shooting 65% from the field compared to Zellers 55%. Taking into account the fact that big men are typically slower to develop and the jump Jacob has already made from his Fresh to Soph year I think it very safe to say he would be a much better player then zeller statistically with two more years of development. Stats aside having watched alot of UNC when Zeller played as well as a number of Utah's games the past two season I can confidently say Poetlt is the superior defender. Also as you imply Zeller as a negative comp remember that last season he averaged 10pt 5rb per game now taking into account Poetlt's statistical comp at a younger age I think its safe and conservative to expect slightly better numbers from Jacob. So lets say after 2 years of development  he can provide a team starting center minutes and average 12pt 8rb while contributing  high end rim protection and solid pick and role defense. Does that not warrant a high lottery pick? Andrew Bogut is a similar type player and he went #1.

Jonas Valanciunas who went #5 just signed a 16mill per year deal with the raptors and I think Poetlt will provide similar offense and rebounding while provide to be a better team defender do to his superior lateral quickness.

Supposedly ESPN's doing, not his.

Triboy, I'll bet my bottom dollar Jakob is twice as good as Zeller. And this draft is rock solid! Better than the Wiggins, Parker, Embiid, Smart, Randle draft!!

That's not the general perception of this draft among the punditry.

Wiggins is good but that draft was not deep at all, this one will be deeper for sure.

agreed.  as the college season progresses, a lot of the top prospects are being exposed as either not as good as expected and/or not physically developed where they could contribute much as rookies.

While the Wiggins draft was pretty hyped, I think when that draft and this one are compared years from now, that draft will look to be the better one.

I'm PC fan and wish all the best for Kris Dunn's career but if he's projected as the 4th best player in the draft, it's not a deep draft.

My guess is Dunn ends up going 6 to 9.

I think the 2014 draft will prove to be very deep but perhaps overrated in terms of star potential. Obviously, the early injuries have affected the development of Embiid, Parker, Exum, and Randle a lot. Even Smart has had his fair share of games missed.

Gordon has been playing better and we haven't seen Saric yet. Also, we've already seen positive signs from later picks in the first round from Capela, Hood, LaVine, Warren, Nurkic, Harris, and Bogdanovic.

I guess it depends on your definition of "deep." The star power has been lacking, but the amount of solid players who will have careers in this league looks to be great.
