When you shoot a respectable almost 49% and run into a team shooting 53% you know you're cursed. but the fact remains, we still should have won this one. Carmello leaves at halftime and Porzinga fouls out with the score tied and enough time left to pull out a win. but while Affalo is kicking the crap out of us on one end of the floor you have freakin' Turner taking a completely unnecessary three pointer on the other end. who the heck is encouraging this guy to shoot threes???
another thing was the masterful job Marcus Smart did on the Zinger in the second half even though these officials don't have a clue about what a good defensive play is!!! the officials seem to have a different set of rules for Marcus and also Kelly Olynyk.

I wish Stevens did more to control shot selection. The players have too much freedom with their shot selection. Turner, Sully and Smart would all benefit from a more stringent coach.

Turner needs to be banned from shifting 3s. For him, a long two is a much better shot. Have him step inside the arch a couple of feet or yank him for taking a 3.

KO has 3 fouls on him before he steps off the bus... just the way it is.

I completely agree and have said as much before.

Offensively Stevens let's his guys do whatever they want with their shot selection.

He's basically given everyone the green light instead of having them play to their strengths.

This has definitely been the most frustrating stretch of the season. We have had leads in all these games. I think with the ball bouncing a different ways a few times we easily could have won a few and been firmly in playoff position. Just got to hope things turn around in the next few weeks or this board will really become contentious

Honestly I don't expect the C's to turn it around until a trade is made to get rid of some of back up bigs. That way Stevens will have a set rotation and some of the issues the team now faces will go away.

I'm worried that they won't make a deal until the deadline at which point we will be several games under .500.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I had not feared this previously, but now I do.

I'm sorry, that my optimism has been sapped and I am passing it on to you. Please ignore what I wrote.

haha no i felt that before you posted. I had a big fear going into last night's game that something has changed and we have lost our swagger. I don't really know how we can get that back and go back to closing out some games and playing a complete 48 minutes.

I had not feared this previously, but now I do.

to best of my knowledge, Stevens is the one advocating the 3's, not the other way around.  have you seen/heard something that suggests he's advocating taking closer shots that have a higher percentage of going in?

we heard in his first season that he wanted Sullinger to shoot more 3's.
