Smart was the 6th pick in the draft and is developing but really hasn't shown much offensively.  He's made an impact on the defensive end but his role on this team is really in question in ways even still.   Isaiah has been our lone go to guy offensively with any real consistency so far with Bradley providing good scoring.  Teams have started to pay attention to Bradley more and his scoring has started to dip.  I guess ultimately we'd like to have a guard lineup of Bradley, Isaiah, and Smart where they can all chip in different ways.  Then we have players like Young, Hunter and Rozier where who knows what their roles are ultimately going to be.

I guess Crowder and Turner are kind of the same thing. Great roleplayers imo and super subs and Crowder can really get things done even as a starter. Young is really the guy here who could bring better scoring but hasn't even shown a thing in this area yet.

KO and Sully continue to show they are talented young big men who's upside and consistency is in question. I guess Amir and Lee are vets and are what they are.  Amir was brought in to provide some offense and defense and Lee some scoring and rebounding and they have done their jobs admirably although what their role is on this team long term it really depends on trades etc.  Then we have Zeller who really is just a space eater at this point although STevens has tried to play around with how he might fit at times. I don't think Zeller really has a future here though.  Jerebko is kind of the same thing. They aren't bad players.  I actually like Jonas in particular but upside wise they are really limited.  Mickey could be a better option than Amir I guess down the road but is still undersized and a roleplayer at best.

The good news is we play with a tough team oriented defensive mindset and have stayed together.  Stevens has these guys playing really well considering.

If I'm building this team I think I take Isaiah, Bradley and Smart and build with that. Take a guy like Crowder as a super sub.  Use our upside with bigs to maybe make a deal somewhere and keep guys around and just keep building that way.  I'd start with Isaiah, Bradley and Smart as the core of this team though that could lead us to a championship with the right pieces around them.  We have an assortment of guards behind them but I'd use those guys to make a trade somewhere.  Not set in stone or anything though and just throwing that out there.

The question to me is who ultimately starts for us at PG?  I think that's a guy who has to set the tone and I'd sort of like it to be Smart ultimately but Isaiah is good.

I see us being the Denver Nuggets of the East. I'd move any player that is def not going to be on the team next year, that way we don't get inflated wins. Very easily we could make bad moves and ruin the advantage we had on every team asset wise.

I'm ready to move on from IT and AB. Nice role players but never capable on the court leaders. They only make us a 6-8 seed. If we trade them and work on developing Smart/Rozier at PG and Hunter/Young at SG we would be better off. Trade IT and AB we end up 10th or better in the draft and really get to see if we can get Smart to another level. Stevens, IT and AB are holding our best prospects back. Let the young guys go through some growing pains already.

It's hard to get on board with this squad when most likely none of them will be on the next contender/championship team aside from maybe on or two role guys. Knowing they are all expendable and can be moved at any moment makes it harder to get behind them and get attached to them.

However, they are fun to watch and root for. I just don't expect many of them to still be here by the end of this year or into next year.
