After his 5 year deal it hasn't been all sunshine and smiles in Chicago. He doesn't get along with his new coach(who also just signed a 5 year contract) He wants the ball and I have been reading for the past two weeks about how butler has been unhappy with how the offense game plan has been and Hoibergs new system. He's giving opportunities to a bunch of different guys and it's not like last year with This and his heavy iso ball scheme. This is a new article to me and I'm honestly waiting for Jimmy B to speak out more to stir up the pot. Now is team mates are starting to get fed up http://www.yardbarker.com/mobile/content/article/s1_127_20085601

No he's not, and we wouldn't have enough to get him anyway.

Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

So if he doesn't like a system were you share the ball, why would he be happy here?

I don't see it. On both him being disgruntled and us acquiring him.

This is an fair point.  That said, I think such concerns could be alleviated since he's friends with Crowder (college teammates) and part of the discontent is just that Butler liked Thibs.  So the person replacing Thibs was always going to have to prove himself.  Stevens wouldn't start from such a disadvantage, and he enjoys a great reputation around the league, so buy-in might be easier.

The Zach Lowe article today says they're still a lot more likely to move Rose even if it's for anything. Don't think he'll be available.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.

we have plenty enough to get him.  He'd probably have a say in where he goes and we'd be close to the top of his list considering he was willing to hear our pitch to him (Only us and 2 or 3 other teams were given the nod apparently).
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.
