Tonight's game illustrates why Sullinger can't be part of your long term plans.

He was our best big man tonight...10 points 8 rebounds on 60% shooting. Poor free throws with 2/6 but you're targeting him too much in this thread and it's really not fair.
Sullinger is the least of our problems.

Yeah, he was the only big worth anything tonight. Johnson only played 15 minutes for some unknown reason, so he couldn't even get going. Lee was 3-11. Why he thinks he's deserving of the third most shots on the team is beyond me.
Nothing against Sully.  He is what he is and he competes.  But he's only 6'7", and gets abused on the offensive boards by good players with more length as we saw tonight.  If he's your starting 4 you're a .500 team at best.

He doesn't get abused on the offensive boards. That's quite an absurd observation honestly considering how poorly some of the rest of the team rebounds and you're picking on one of the best rebounders in the league and a player who box outs really well? Please.

More absurd is you singling him out considering he was one of the few players that actually played well last night.

Mind boggling considering your stance of  "nothing against Sully" because evidence suggest quite the contrary.

It was Hunter's first game in two weeks.  Probably a bit of stamina/managing minutes was involved.

You know those of us, who played sports know about a thing called practice.  It simulates games, and keep in you shape between games.   Pros also have these individuals called trainers who work on this as well.

It was the team's 5th game in a week.  I doubt they'd had much in the way of practices for Hunter to participate in.  Not to mention it was his 4th-highest minutes total of the season.  But whatever.

And there's absolutely no way the trainers and the coaches saw how his was progressing in practice and training and decided that he wasn't ready to play extended minutes. That never happens.

Watched it again and it was even worse to look at the 2nd go. Don't do it to urselves if anyone plans on looking at it.

I was at game and honestly felt like the team quit in the 4th when Atlanta took the lead.  I cannot say I have seen that much, if at all, under Stevens.

have to agree with you on this.  Sully is the last person on this team that gets abused on the boards.   if anything, he provides the one positive on the boards.

Sully's not the problem.  The fact we have no real go-to scorer, no real starter-quality PG and no real center-size player that can defend/rebound/not-look-inept-on-offense --> those are the prime issues.

I agree with both on Sully defensive rebounding but I don't think he's free from criticism.  He's been pretty inconsistent on offense and his defensive effort in the last few games kind of reminds me of him last year when I had given up on him.
