Watching the last two games I think ideally the celtics could still use a big man.  We did a good job on Drummond but left Detroit's shooters open.  Cleveland matched our quickness and we really couldn't score.  It could be gameplanning, it could be more than that. But looking at this team Ainge is right we need a go to scorer and preferably a big man.  I kind of figured Ainge would sour on Cousins.  I don't think Cousins is an Ainge type of guy. I think Stevens would do well with him though.  Ainge might want to think twice about that one. Ainge disliked Antoine quite a bit and I think he feels the same way about Cousins personality.  I like Cousins fire though.

Getting Dwight as a rental until we can draft someone seems more like an AInge move or finding a go to scorer at another position or another way.

Out of all the big men out there Gasol would be the best fit imo minus his age.  I don't think Ainge is going to address this need this year though.  We need to do something with all these draft picks though.

Whiteside is a ridiculously good shot blocker and young big man but he isn't much of a passer or competitor yet.

Nerlens is really the guy who would be great here but if it means giving up Smart I wouldn't do it.  I'd give them loads of picks though.  I'm still ont sold on his upside though and health concerns as well.

Cousins to me is it and really the guy who could make a lasting impact but I don't think Ainge likes him and wants to go all in on a guy like that.  So it's wait some more.

Nerlins plus a really good Wing .....like Butler type would work good.

I'm trying to think of wings and Butler is the only guy i can think of who is worth it. I also like Hayward but yeah.  I don't see those happening.  As far as Nerlens if we could get Okafor I'd prefer that in ways.

Ainge is going to be a stickler for finding the right fit to go with these guys that's the thing and he will wait and draft if need be.  I dont think Haywards upside is enough for what the celtics want in a wing. Butler would be.

The issue with Butler is why would the bulls trade him?  He is their best player. I could see them moving Noah to us as a slight defensive upgrade over Lee but why?  Also trading for butler he would command even more minutes at the guard spot where we have guys like Isaiah, Bradley, Smart, etc, etc already.

Ainge always seems to find guys we don't think of but I don't know. It's getting down to Cousins or draft pretty much.

I would consider flipping our picks for a guy like Okafor or Nerlens though.  Gasol is also a really good well rounded big man but he's getting old.

I'd just draft Simmons.

Derrick Favors is a guy who can score more than Sully.  I'd hang onto Sully though.  It's all about fit and Ainge is a stickler. He's going to find the right fit. Anderson is a guy who is more a scorer than KO is right now but again why?

I thought this post would be about how backwards this season is, and last, because we are fighting for the playoffs and have no star/all-star/go to guy that can play defense.

Well remember this past summer when we all agreed that we would draft our future center in 2015....i think it might have been the only thing we all agreed on. We honestly should have ended up with Towns/ Kristaps/ Okafor or at the very least Myles Turner. I will never forgive Ainge for not waiving Bass, Jonas, Gigi at the trade deadline. I do not blame him at all for getting IT, that was a great move, but IT is on a great team friendly contract and thats the dif. between inflated wins.

I could see Ainge going hard after Al Horford.  He would be a good addition but seems a bit safe.  But if we keep the brooklyn pick and get a strong wing to go with our guards and s ully, ko and horford might be worth it.

I think the issue with any trade is our talent is good enough where to make a trade it has to be for someone really good that's the thing.  Otherwise AInge can just keep waiting and waiting although we are getting to that point where we have way too many picks coming up.
