Celts still the JV team in the East.  There are a lot of JV teams in the East.

I can write out my fan fic versions of how I want this team to look, but we really need a 3 who can actually jump shoot and an All-Star caliber 4 that can play next to Sully at the 5.  If we added Gallo at the 3 and Ben Simmons at the 4 next year for instance, we wouldn't be shut down quite so hard against real teams in big games.  Also, we need to ship out Jerebko and Turner.

With Noel and George .....we would have handed them a beat down.

Also, we need to ship out Jerebko and Turner.

Feels to me like Jerebko, Turner, Amir, and Lee are all babysitting rotation spots until we can get significant upgrades / guys who fit the system better or develop some of our younger guys to take those spots.

Sullinger, Jerebko, Turner, Zeller

Sullinger is running out of gas again, only about 25 games into the season

Simmons would be a rookie who apparently has no jump shot.  I don't see him help that much against the Cavs, Warriors or Spurs next year.

Yup here we go.  ::) Literally just days after the Celtics went toe-to-toe with the reigning NBA champs/hottest team in the league and beat one of the league's best home teams on the road the next day, we already want to give up our guys because we got beat by the best team by far in the east by double digits. Man I love it when we fans keep proving Rick Pitino right. The negativity in this town sucks.

It's one game. The Celtics were off tonight, and the Cavaliers are a better team than the Celtics. The C's did a good job of keeping the Cavs at bay in the first half. The 2nd half the Celtics just weren't hitting their shots while the Cavs were. Nothing we can do about that.

Onto Detroit!

I hate that we get pushed around by them all the time and don't hit back. The refs let them get away with murder too.

C's just came out with ZERO energy in the 2nd half---looked like they were walking in mud....would have lost to Philly with that effort....maybe a by-product of a first half wrestling match, I dunno.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Yep---Crowder is the only one with balls enough to stand up to those Cheap-Shot PUNKS---and JR Smith elbows him in the face in the playoffs.

Hopefully most aren't so irritated that we lost, but more so with how we lost -- started getting bullied out there in the second half. We have had a great month, though. Hope we bounce back from this just as we did for the CHA game.

I think we're all secretly pining for that big trade, but my pessimism is telling me to relax. Seems pretty unlikely a star becomes available in the next 2 months to even give us an opportunity to take that next step.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Winning at half time, some help from the refs and hot shooting by the Cavs put the nail in the coffin.

Their defense is very good.

Kevin Love destroyed us.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Made me think twice about a big offer to pry Love away. Then reality set in that they aren't trading Love for that very reason. I'm sure they realize Kyrie is only going to play 4 regular season games per year, and that all three of them are needed to compete with GSW and/or SA.
