Yawn.....wake me up when he shows that he is even a little bit better than when he first got here because I don't see it. One very good game every third or fourth game or so and very little in the other games. He is still the same player.
Sure, and what he is is a very skilled big man who belongs as an important part of the rotation for a team that should be a legitimate playoff contender.
Personally, I think he still has room to improve, but even if he doesn't, what's wrong with what he is for a late lottery pick?
Personally don't see him being an important part of any legitimate playoff's team's rotation. If Olynyk were to just disappear, my guess is the Celtics would be neither better nor worse than they are. Just don't see him being a part that has to be there for your team to be good.
Raef LaFrentz was a skilled big man too. He moved the needle very little for any team he played on out of college. To me, that's KO. Skilled. Has some good games. But for the most part, doesn't make your team all that much better.
