I love how many people are not true fans.

WE'VE PLAYED FOUR GAMES.

We're 1-3 and should be 2-2.  We only lost last game by 2 points and played an overall good game.  The Raptors and Spurs are both really good teams.  The Pacers came out an played well and still have a super star getting back into form, plus other good players.  It's almost sad to see people saying how bad we are or we should just tank after four games.  We've added 5 new players that will take time to play together, plus 3 rookies out of those five.  The Celtics are still working on figuring out the rotations, plus last night Smart not playing hurt the teams when we should have won.

Do I think we could make changes to better our team, of course.  But honestly everybody, pump your brakes on saying we're a bad team.

You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

"True fans" overreact all the time, man.  Probably more often than casual fans.  Let's cool it with the purity tests here.

That said I agree with just about everything else.  Easy to exaggerate the importance of 4 games when they're the only 4 we've seen, but while play hasn't been where we'd like it, it really hasn't been that awful either.  It could be a lot worse - we could be watching Kobe throw up brick after brick for $20 million, for instance  ;D

No thread that started out with "not true fans" ever ended well.
