I know it is early but the next 5 games will show us a lot.. 2 games with indy one with dc one with bucks and one with atlanta... if we win 2 or more we will be a 50% team... if not lottery bound. Hawks an dc are better on paper and the bucks at the same level.. indy worse...

How would the Celtics be lottery bound if they are sub 500 in roughly 10 games? Lot of negativity on this forum 3 games in. They played decent in two games (76ers and Spurs), I'm not worried about this team. Give them 1/4 a season before you think a few losses equal lotto.

+1 on that...to be fair, we made playoffs due to a 2nd half season surge

I'm not so worried about the first 10 games...I think as we approach all-star weekend is when we really evaluate our team

Agreed.

Look at what's going on with all the other teams out there.

* New Orleans are last in the West at 0-3
* Milwaukee were predicted to be a beast team this year, and they are 1-3
* Houston were seen as a legit contender, and they are 1-3 (first three losses by 20+ points)
* Detroit lead the East at 3-0

It's early in the season - some teams are going to take time to hit their stride, and some others are potentially going to start the season hot and then fall down into a hot steamy pile of dung.

Until we are at least around 8-10 games in to the season, there is really no point in drawing any conclusions from the Win/Loss records.

We need to get at least 1/4 of the way through the season before we can make any meaningful conclusions about where things are headed.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.
