I kind of see it like this.

Starters

Smart
Bradley
Crowder
Lee
Zeller

2nd Unit

Isaiah
Hunter
Turner
KO
Amir

3rd Unit

Rozier
Young
Jerebko
Sully
Mickey

Rozier is my guy and someone who could squeeze some minutes with the 2nd team. Jerebko and Sully also may get some minutes early on. But depending on injuries I don't see Brad going much deeper than 10 guys most nights.  Maybe I'm wrong?  Rozier, Young and Mickey may spend time in the d-league.

Thing is is the 3rd unit played really well in the preseason and earned minutes.  Can we get rid of Turner soon?

actually I think Rozier might squeeze into 2nd unit more than hunter...we play small a lot anyways, and Isaiah and Rozier can both provide instance offense and drive to the basket

Sully on the other hand, is kinda sad to see him slip like that...from being a starter last year to this year as a 3rd stringer...

I think Jerebko will be in the second unit playing on the wing and occasionally at the 4.

Pump the brakes on Hunter.

I'm higher on Rozier than Hunter personally but stuck him with the 2nd unit mainly because of his ability to play multiple positions.  Rozier is primarily a pg and is behind Smart and Isaiah. I expect Smart, Isaiah and Bradley to get about 30 minutes a piece which doesn't leave much room.

Everybody loves hating on Evan Turner.  Why do you just want to get rid of a very serviceable player?  How about the rooks just take his minutes from him because they play well enough to deserve them?

I'm reluctant to just jettison Turner, because in the event of injuries I think his ball handling and ability to get into the paint will be useful, however, I do not mind at all seeing his roll diminish greatly from LY if others are more productive/fit the system better.

Agreed.

I am curious what happens in the first game with Olynyk out. Stevens has stated that he wants to surround Thomas with shooters in the second unit. With Olynyk out do they just slot Sully in that lineup next to Amir? To keep the style of the lineup it might make more sense to go with
IT
Hunter
Turner
Jerebko
Johnson.

Although I think they will probably put Sully at the 4 take turner out and then have Jerebko/Turner slide down a position.

I don't think Zeller will start even though he started many of the preseason games, or at least he won't get more minutes than Johnson or the other centers (he will have the least minutes of the centers IMO).  I actually think Sullinger should be starting over Olynyk but I have conceded that he is in the dog house and they may go with Olynyk to get a little more offense.

As for Lee, I hope they play him off the bench and keep his minutes down.  No need to start him or play him big minutes.  He just isn't that good (and in my opinion, never was).  I would much rather see Sullinger getting those minutes and working his butt off (figuratively and literally).

Starters

Smart
Bradley
Crowder
Olynyk
Johnson

2nd Unit

Isaiah
Hunter
Turner
Lee
Sullinger

3rd Unit

Rozier
Young
Jerebko
Mickey
Zeller

With the "new" hidden forum I've stopped reading and posting. Hint hint
But seeing season starting I was going to post something along these lines.  :D
Tp

So not best grouping but position by position my opinion on depth.

Center: Amir Johnson, Tyler seller(both guys centers pretty much), David Lee, Kelly olnyk
Power forward: David Lee, Kelly, tie sullying and jerebko, Mickey
Small forward: tie crowder and turner, both guys bring something different to the team, I'd probably give tiebreaker to crowder, jerebko, hunter
Shooting guard: Avery Bradley, turner, hunter
Point guard: Isaiah Thomas, Marcus smart, rosier

My guess at starting lineup
Amir
Lee
Crowder
Bradley
Smart

Hard to say what Stevens will do with mix.  I can easily see him going with second unit of whoever blends best with Thomas and making both units strong defensively

Sounds about right also, I'd rather have Turner as a big backup2 than him backing up Crowder at the 3. For front court rotation, Sully provides more consistent rebounding which will remain a big need in this offense so he will see some consistent minutes.

I don't think dividing the team into three separate lineups really works.  We'really not gonna be doing wholesale subs, in reality it will be more like:

Guards: Smart (30 minutes) AB (30) IT (30) Turner (6)
SF: Crowder (24) Turner (12) Jerebko (12)
PF: Lee (24) KO (24)
C: Zeller (24) Amir (24)
I'm bitter.

He's very likely not only the worst player in the starting lineup but also the worst player in the regular rotation.  He's tolerable because he fits well with the rest of the roster's deficits, but replacing him is the most obvious way to improve this roster.

I think the 2nd unit personal will be flexible based on match-ups and game situations.

I have no clue, I also expect a lot of changes during the season, particularly early in the season.

It's pivotal though for Sullinger to make the most out of this first game with Olynyk out if he wants to be a more frequent contributor than what it currently projects with his fairly weak preseason.
