Both teams improve at thin respective positions. Both teams get a shot at growing a player on the last year of their rookie deal before RFA.

TOR is not thin at PF. They are actually thinner at SG. So why would they trade Ross for Sully?
I think we have very different opinions on their depth. I don't think any of Patterson, Scola, James Johnson or Bennett are actually good.
I consider DeRozan an SG and they really like Powell, between DeRozan, Young and Powell I think that's enough at the 2.
They would trade Ross for Sully and Young if they Liked Young, thought Sully was undervalued and didn't plan on resigning Ross in the offseason.
I'd much rather target DeRozan if Toronto starts poorly, and decides they don't want to pay him the big bucks.
