a few years ago i talked to rollie massimino,it was after close to 50yrsand he said "the skinny kid that was all over the court"nice to be remembered by an icon at least. We played pressure man to man and fighting over the top of screens without powerfull legs and a butt was painfull but i used those bony knees and elbows and initiated contact, i made it hurt the other guy-another player on our team hit me on facebook after all these years with i was " calorically challenged" but he emphasized i sharpened my elbows before practice-one knickname was boneyard-i tried everything to gain weight and muscle-the coach had us doing isometrics-weights were taboo then, as it might effect your shooting
maybe ainge can teach rj tricks but putting on lower body bulk  may take a long time and both rj and young will both struggle because of this-rj has good shoulders but there will be things he just can't do---yet

Tayshaun Prince, Richard Hamilton, Reggie Miller, all had similar body types, and all had value, and carved out solid careers to varying degrees. RJ will find a way to make adjustments just like you did, and the players above.

I have a good feeling about him, he's something the C's really need.

Yes RJ has broad shoulders that are capable of taking on a good amount of muscle. This will help him significantly. I am very high on RJ and hope he has a good rookie season.

I don't think RJ is a Shawn Bradley or Manute Bol or anything

Solid observation, rollie. TP. I agree ... for either to make it, their offense is going to need to far outweigh physical/defensive deficiencies. Young ain't gonna make it, some hope for RJ due to his intangibles... but that's just my 2 cents...
